StewartJ@state.gov. The U.S. Department of State (DOS), the Office of
Acquisition, is soliciting through competitive means for a contractor
to provide repair, preventive and recurring maintenance services on
Motorola fixed and portable UHF/VHF Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment,
and one UPS Best system. The maintenance consists of the DOS's
Washington Area Radio Network (WARN) and associated equipment located
in 25 sites and other possible locations throughout the Washington D.C.
metropolitan area. The contract will be an indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract type with fixed rate unit pricing
for ordered repair and diagnostic testing of base station, repeaters,
tone remotes, mobile radios, handheld radio; transmission line; and for
the performance of other related services. The contract is for a period
of performance of a base year and four option years. The WARN system is
utilized by the Diplomatic Security who is responsible for providing
physical and personal protective security for the Secretary of State,
foreign dignitaries, and other VIP's. To accomplish its mission, the
Bureau of DS has a LMR system installed throughout the Washington, D.C.
Metropolitan Area. The Equipment contained in the WARN system shall be
operational, twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week,
three hundred sixty-five (365) days a year. The solicitation was issued
