IHS Military Specs via the Internet are unique because they alone are available in ASCII full text. This means the documents can be full text searched and also excerpted using "cut & paste" into SOWs and CDRLs. The MARCORSYSCOM Package includes Active DoD Standardization Services via ERC 2 simos, Historical DoD Standardization Service via ERC 2 simos, Updated CD-ROM Standardization Service, Active & Historical Naval Instructions & DoD Directives on CD-ROM. Haystack for Windows Online database is accessible via the Internet and requires a piece of proprietary software be loaded on the individual PC or on the network server.
