prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.303, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the official notification for which quotes
are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The
solicitation document Request for Quotes (RFQ) 279-0029 and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Regulation Circular 97-15. This procurement is being
advertised as a fully competed procurement, under standard industrial
classification code 6635, with a small business size standard of 5.0
million. SOL RFQ 279-0029 will be issued on 05/19/00 POC RICKY HAROLD,
CONTRACT SPECIALIST, (925) 803-2777. This procurement will be awarded
as a requirements type contract. The Federal Bureau of Prisons,
Federal Correctional Institution, Sheridan, OR has an immediate need
for Professional Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Services. The
Mobile MRI Services contract will be awarded to the contractor who
submits the best value offer. (a) The Contractor is responsible for the
provision of professional, licensed MRI services on patients referred
by the Health Services Administrator (HSA) or Contracting Officers
Technical Representative. The MRI unit must be completely self
contained, and able to perform the scans. The MRI truck must be
completely self-sufficient or compatible with 220 volt electric power
supply. The Contractor will provide radiologist interpretation of the
scans performed within three (3) days of the session. The films will be
delivered with the reports. The Contractor will provide itemized
billing statements to the HSA that accurately reflects the services
provided and the total dollar amount due for the services provided. b)
Must be directed by a licensed radiologist c) Must be staffed by
qualified and licensed technologists performing the tests. 6). Copies
of the certifications must be furnished to the institution. 7). All
supplies needed will be provided by the Contractor including film,
contrast materials, and related equipment. The Contractor must adhere
to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as
prescribed for safe operation and maintenance of the equipment and the
completion of the studies. Services will be required from Date of
Award thru 12 months with four option years. Offers in original shall
