771-4590 Provide services to read radiographic exam films and prepare
exam reports for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries of
Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), Temple, TX. Term of
contract: Date of award through 9/30/00. Plus two option years. Pricing
requested is unit cost per exam for Base Year and the option years. The
usage quantity will vary based on the needs of the VA and on medical
care factors. This contract does not represent that any certain
quantity will be required by the VA or performed by the Contractor.
Services shall include reading the film, dictating the report, and then
review for accuracy. Contractor shall furnish fully qualified
radiologists, and shall be certified according to Medicare standards.
Services shall be conducted at CTVHCS, or Contractor shall propose a
non-VA site. Services shall be performed daily. Readings shall be
performed within one work-day;review shall be performed within one
work-day. Provider qualifications: board certified; unrestricted Texas
medical license; credentialed and privileged at CTVHCS prior to
beginning contract performance. Other requirements: 1)Contractor shall
be an established business entity that has been located in, and doing
business in, its present location for at least one year, and that
location must be no more than 75 miles from Temple, TX. 2) Compliance
with 52.237-7 Indemnification and Medical Liability Insurance clause.
Proposals shall be evaluated on: 1) Sufficient and Qualified personnel
who meet all physician qualifications of the contract and who can
fulfill the contract requirements. (25 pts) 2) Availability and
convenience for CTVHCS of offeror's proposed film reading site. (25
pts) 3) Contractor's readiness tobegin, including submission of
physician information for VA credentialing and privileging process. (10
pts) 4) Contractor's location. (15 pts) 5. Price.(25 pts) Qualified,
interested parties may inquire and make written request for a copy of
RFP. Anticipated value of contract is less than $40,000 for base and
