This is an unrestricted procurement, the Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract. The SIC is 7352 and the Small Business Size Standard is $5 M. The contractor shall provide to the WJBD VA Medical Center, Columbia, SC a 1.0 Tesla or higher, Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit housed in a maximum trailer size of 10' x 55', with film processor and laser printer; to include set-up, and maintenance. The Mobile Unit will be required for approximately five weeks. The contractor shall provide a MRI Technician that is specially trained and qualified. The MRI Technician shall be licensed in the state of South Carolina and will be trained in basic life support and CPR. Vendor must also provide training for VA technical and clinical staff as part of the quoted price. The mobile unit must have an active shield system. The gauss line must be contained within the trailer walls. Minimum coils required: 3" & 5" GP, Head, T/L/C Spine, Shoulder, Flex. The system currently being utilized is a GE1.5T. Power requirements must be 480 volt, A.C., 3 phase 125KVA (fused at 150 A). The Mobile Unit must be in place and fully operational no later than May 30, 2000.
