Manning -- 334-260-4103 or David Berry -- 334-260-4152 The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Bagby Elevator Company, Inc. to provide necessary services to furnish and install three elevator controls, SCR drives, solid state optical leveling unit and limits, tachometer and isolation transformer for three elevators located in Building 120 at our East Campus, Tuskegee, Alabama. Bagby Elevator is the current maintenance contractor for these elevators and it is not considered feasible for two contractors to be performing services on these elevators during the same time frame. Interested parties have 15 days from publication of this synopsis to submit in writing their comments concerning this procurement. Commments will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days will be deemed nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by theGovernment not to conduct a competitive procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
