The proposed contract action (s) is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government's reasoning for the use of only one source for this work is that the proposed contractor, Rockville Steel & Manufacturing, 7411-C Lindbergh Drive, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20879, is the exclusive supplier of an animal caging system that will integrate with the existing configuration in Building 14D.
