Description of Work: On the behalf of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Park Service, Denver Service Center, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded, requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The Government will consider an offeror's capability in comparison to its price and will make a best value award. The work of the contract includes but is not limited to: installing and removing temporary erosion control measures; installing a new Government supplied down stream guard gate on the downstream face of the dam; demolishing and removing an existing outlet works sluice gate underwater and demolishing and removing the existing gate operator; sawcutting and removing existing concrete; drilling, installing, tensioning, and testing multi-strand, post-tensioned anchors through the dam and into the ro! ck foundation; reclaiming disturbed areas; and other items of work incidental to the above work items, including clearing, dewatering, unclassified excavation, stripping and stockpiling topsoil, and paving. Estimated price range, $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.. -- Time for completion is estimated to be 300 calendar days. -- This solicitation is opn to large and small businesses.
