SYNOPSIS: SOLICITATION Plans and Specifications for solicitation N68711-00-Q-8732 will be issued on or about 21 APRIL 2000 over the Internet at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil as an Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS). The response time required by FAR 5.203 would begin on the date of issuance of the EBS solicitation. EBS solicitation packages may be acquired by registration and download at the Internet EBS Web Site. All prospective offerors must register as plan holders on the EBS Web Site for this project. Plan Centers are also required to register. Plan holders lists will not be faxed and will only be available at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This is a Firm Fixed-Price Contract. REPLACE OVERHEAD CRANE, HANGAR 3 AT CHINA LAKE, CALIFORNIA. The work includes furnishing all labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to provide an electrically powered hoist/trolley assembly for installation on an existing monorail beam. Assembly shall be rated 10 tons and shall be for operation on 480VAC, 3 Phase. Assembly shall be pendant operated from floor level and shall have two speed hoist (approximately 22/7 feet per minute) and two speed trolley (approximately 45/15 feet per minute). Hoist shall have 42' lift. Hook shall be capable of disassembly for individual inspection/certification. Provide collector assembly for connection to existing conductor bars. Provide hoist with true vertical lift and pendant with a six button station for on/off, hoist and trolley operation. Bottom of pendant shall be located 6" above the floor level. Hoist and trolley shall conform with all applicable requirements of ANSI 830.16 and ASME HST-4M. Performance time is 60 calendar days. The tentative issue date is on or about 21 APRIL 2000 with the quote due date approximately 30 days later. The SIC code is 1731. The related small business standard is $7.0 million. The cost range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Bidders should request this specification no later than 22 MAY 2000 by Internet access at the above WEB Address.
