The project consists essentially of, but not limited to, the conversion of part of the existing cold water aircraft washing/rinsing system in the Corrosion Control Bay to a hot water system for washing KC-10 Aircraft at building 1837, McGuire AFB, New Jersey. After new system is installed and operational, the contractor shall remove the existing boiler and fuel tank. The contractor shall remove and dispose of associated piping and patch exterior wall to match existing. The contractor shall install two new ladders, one each in the Aircraft Maintenance Bay and the Corrosion Control Bay, for secondary means of egress from the high bay catwalks. Contractor must install a bird repelling system in the three aircraft servicing bays. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is Z129. The solicitation issue date will on about be 9 May 00 with an approximated response date of 9 June 00. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal and will be procured unrestricted. All responsive offerors will be considered by the agency. The project magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
