COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 26,2000 PSA#2587Regional Contracting Department (Code 201), Fleet and Industrial Supply
Center, 1942 Gaffney Street, Ste 100, Pearl Harbor, HI 96860-4549 66 -- DYNAMOMETER SOL N00604-00-T-A166 DUE 042800 POC Ms. Gail Caban,
(808)473-7528 Solicitation number N00604-00-T-A166. This amendment is
issued to extend the closing date from 04/24/00 to 04/28/00 and to
disseminate the following answers to questions received from offerors.
Questions and answers are as follows: Q: Do you need a motor stand to
mount the electric motors or are you just asking for a mountable
absorber? If you need a stand, is this to be a stationary stand or a
cart docking system? A: A motor stand is not required. An existing
stand will be used. Q: Do you plan on doing long duration testing? A:
Tests will last up to 4 hours. Q: What type of tests do you plan on
doing? Do you plan on doing controlled rates of acceleration and if so
from what rpm to what rpm? A: Motors will be run at a given speed for
a specified duration, depending on type of motor being tested. Tests
will not involve controlled rates of acceleration. Q: A hydraulic
dynamometer is not a problem for us. However, is there a reason why you
do not want an Eddy Current Dynamomter? A: A hydraulic dynamometer is
preferred. Posted 04/24/00 (W-SN448012). (0115) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0240 20000426\66-0005.SOL)
