NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for NETMOSPHERE COLLABORATION SERVER WITH ORACLE OR SQL DATABASE, 1 EACH; NETMOSPHERE PROJECT MANAGERS (READ/WRITE), 10 EACH; CONTRIBUTORS (READ/UPDATE TASK LIST) 40 EACH; ONE (1) YEAR STANDARD CUSTOMER SUBSCRIPTION (TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND UPGRADES), 1 EACH. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from NETMOSPHERE, INC., 2225 EAST BAYSHORE ROAD, SUITE 100A, PALO ALTO, CA 94303, under the authority of 10 U.S.C.(c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Netmosphere product suite provides users with the ability to collaborate and communicate project information using the World Wide Web. The project information includes gantt charts, cost data, status reporting, project charters, mission statements, and any other data important to project members. To our knowledge, Netmosphere is the only vendor that provides the ability to publish all of this information at a central web location and also provide user security controlled by the project manager. The project manager is provided with the ability to prevent or allow project individuals access to project data. Access includes the ability to read, write/modify, and create data. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May 1, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
