R -- PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT SERVICES SOL RFP 529-11-00 DUE 051200 POC Sharon Leszczynski 724-285-2523 The VA Medical Center Butler, PA intends to solicit proposals and award a firm fixed price contract on a competitive basis under the authority of Title 38 USC Section 8153 to the offeror(s) whose proposal meets the requirements of this solicitation. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small businesses. Contract term will be for base year and four pre-priced option years to extend services. The VA reserves the right to award more than one firm fixed price contract if it is determined to be most advantageous to the government. The VAMC Butler has an immediate need for services of a commercial recruiting firm to provide search, recruitment and placement services of 1-3 physicians relating to primary care (i.e., internal medicine, family practice or emergency medicine) according to the requirements as stated in the solicitation. Proposals will be evaluated and scored numerically based upon the following technical factors: Past performance to include experience and demonstrated ability; managerial capability; personnel qualifications and implementation plan and price/cost. The salary range for physicians hired within the VA system is from $65,983.00 to $100,897.00, salary commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include: 30 days paid vacation/15 days sick leave annually, ten paid holidays, excellent retirement savings plan and health and life insurance shared expense, malpractice insurance furnished by the VA. Selected physicians are required to sign an agreement to work for the VA for a period of two years. If the physicians do not fulfill his/her obligations, the physician will pay a refund of special pay to the VA. The SIC Code is 7361 and the size standard is $5.0 million.
