INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER Department of Veterans Affairs, Acquisition Operations and Analysis Service (93A3) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order for CD Rom-based customer service training. The purchase order will be awarded to PerforMax3 of Clearwater, FL, to support development of a customized computer-based customer service training product for Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). This follow-on purchase order in support of VBA will utilize the same instructional systems design programming already developed for Veterans Health Administration. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), the Government is negotiating directly with PerforMax3 to avoid substantial duplication of cost that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Anticipated date of award is May 8, 2000. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement within 10days of this publication. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
