MANUFACTURING OPPORTUNITY FOR SILENT TACTICAL OVERBOOTS The Combating Terrorism Technology Support Office, Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) announces the availability of a data package for the manufacture of silent tactical overboots developed for use by Hostage Rescue and other Law Enforcement / Special Operations use. The Silent Tactical Overboot was designed as a slip-on overboot to be used in conjunction with standard tactical boots. The overboot incorporates a spandex elastic overshoe with elastic opening and drawstring closure and a sole made of spandex, slow recovery shock absorbing foam, and oil-impregnated glove-split leather for traction. The overboot is lightweight, foldable, and quickly donned. It is designed to be expendable after one or two missions. A design review package is available to qualified U.S. footwear manufacturers who produce footwear for military and law enforcement use.
