E-MAIL: B. Terry Cobb, t.g.cobb@larc.nasa.gov. NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ )to provide components for vibration monitoring of the Unitary Wind Tunnel. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Bently Nevada. This vibration monitoring system contains proprietary software and operating systems critical to the performance of the Unitary Wind Tunnel drive systems. Under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing or by fax to Ms. Terry Cobb, NASA/LaRC, M/S 126, 9 Langley Blvd., Bldg. 1195A, Rm 214, Hampton, VA 23681; fax number 757-864-9775, not later than 4:00 p.m. local time May 11, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
