The 46th Test Wing at Eglin AFB FL has a requirement for unarmed security guard service for test support within a 35-mile radius of Eglin Main Base at Eglin AFB FL. Depending on responses to this synopsis, it is our intent to issue this requirement as a competitive HUB-Zone set-aside. The appropriate SIC code is 7381 with a size standard of $5M. You are reminded that 35% of your employees must reside in a HUB-Zone and you must certify that you will attempt to maintain this percentage during the performance of this contract. If you are HUB-Zone certified and are interested in this acquisition, please respond to this announcement within 15 days (NLT 9 May 2000). If the contracting officer determines that a HUB-Zone award is not feasible, this acquisition will be issued as a small business set-aside. This will be a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the solicitation will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (http://www.eps.gov) without further notice on or about 15 May 2000. Contract performance will include, but is not limited to, on-call service, twenty-four hour continuous service, seven days weekly, roving patrols, control access to test sites and buildings, and inspection of areas for signs of vandalism, theft or compromise of security. A secret clearance for all employees is required. The estimated amount for the current performance year on the present contract is $396,917.00. The basic performance period is expected to be 1 Jun 2000 through 31 May 2001, plus four one year option periods.
