At the Caspian Health Care Symposium, you will learn the details of nearly 30 health care projects being developed in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. These major projects will include such items as: construction of new hospitals, renovation of existing healthcare facilities, manufacturing and distribution of pharmaceuticals, training and promotion of primary health care, acquisition of medical equipment and disposable medical supplies. The program includes policy discussions, information on financing mechanisms, and country sector presentations by US ambassadors, representatives of the World Bank, EBRD, US Export-Import Bank, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the US Department of Health and Human Services and other health care experts who will highlight regional health care opportunities.
