The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain life cycle technical and support services for Navy systems in the areas of Systems Engineering, Program Management, Configuration and Data Management; Engineering and Information Management, Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A); Human Factors; Quality Assurance; Integrated Logistics Engineering (ILS); Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V); Test and Weapons Analysis; and other General Engineering Support. A five year Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract is planned. This acquisition is a follow-on to Contract Number N00178-97-D-1015 with Marconi Systems Technologies, Inc., which is currently providing approximately 80 man-year of professional technical effort. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued approximately 15 May 2000 on an unrestricted basis with a projected closing date of 30 June 2000. The SIC Code for this acquisition is 8711 which has a size standard of$20.0 million.
