XM777 LIGHTWEIGHT 155MM HOWITZER MANUFACTURE AND ASSEMBLY CONTRACT DAAE30-97-C-1032 BAE SYSTEMS subsidiary VSEL Projects Ltd. is in the process of establishing its US-based production for the XM777 Lightweight 155mm Howitzer. Production is scheduled to start in October 2001. Qualified firms are being sought for manufacture of sub-assemblies and structures of the howitzer as well as final assembly and test of the complete howitzer for delivery to the US Department of Defense.
