The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to release, on a competitive basis, a firm fixed price Request for Proposal (RFP) to upgrade a Government Furnished Aircraft Mounted Accessory Drive (AMAD) Test Stand. This test stand is currently designed to run Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) on the Repair and Overhaul (R&O) of F/A-18C/D AMADs. The contractor will be required to modify the existing C/D AMAD Test Stand to be capable of running ATPs on R&O of F/A-18E/F AMADs. The effort will include the design, manufacture, installation, and operational training for the modified stand. The period of performance for this effort will be 12 months from contract award. The tentative proposal due date is 23 June 2000 (see RFP for firm date). The solicitation will be made available through electronic data interchange.
