The objective is to investigate electrical, mechanical, aerodynamic, structural, operational environment and effectiveness issues, and perform the integration of Low Cost Precision Kill (LCPK) Guided Rocket (GR) systems onto the AH-64D Longbow Apache. Expert knowledge of the AH-64D is required. Analysis and optimization of the potential effectiveness of the GR systems integrated on the AH-64D is required. Design, fabrication and integration of the necessary hardware and software into a Government Furnished AH-64D testbed aircraft allowing for testing of GR concepts is required. Support of airborne flight testing of GR approaches, including captive-carry and live-fire tests, is required. The contract will contain multiple decision points, as the effort is dependent upon the technical readiness of two GR system solutions that are currently under development. Boeing Helicopter Mesa, as the manufacturer of the AH-64D, is deemed the only responsible source uniquely qualified to perform this program. Alpha Contracting methods with Boeing Mesa will be employed. No solicitation documents will be issued.
