McGuire Air Force Base, NJ intends to issue a competitive solicitation seeking a qualified 8(a) contractor to provide unarmed personnel and baggage screening services at McGuire Air Force Base's passenger terminal. The proposed procurement is set-aside for competition among 8(a) firms. The Standard Industrial Codes (SIC) is 7381 -- Detective, Guard and Armored Car Services. To be eligible to compete for this requirement, you must be certified as a 8(a) firm by the Small Business Administration and must have average annual receipts for the preceding three years not in excess of $9 Million. A firm fixed price contract using commercial contract provisions will be used. The base period shall be from on or about October 1, 2000 through 30 September 2001. There will also be four one-year option periods. All responsible 8(a) firms may submit an offer in response to the solicitation. It is recommendedthat interested sources inspect the work site so that they will be aware of the general local conditions which may affect the work. Site visit provisions will be reflected in the solicitation. Solicitation F28609-00-R0007 will be available on or about June 21, 2000. Proposals will be due 21 July 2000.
