Description of Work: On the behalf of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Park Service, Denver Service Center, is soliciting quotations from design/build contractors having the capability to perform the work described below. The Government will consider an offeror's capability in comparison to its price and will make a best value award. The work of the contract includes but is not limited to: Design -- includes all services required to design, survey and test (Quality Control) the proposed pavement repairs, and turnout, to approximately one-half mile of road on American Holly Drive on the Patuxent Research Refuge beginning at Highway 197. Contractor will be responsible for providing repair and new pavement sections which meet Maryland State DOT Standards for secondary roads. Construction -- Includes approximately 7000 square feet of pavement repair, furnishing, placing, and compacting approximately 165 tons of asphalt leveling course, furnishing, placing, and compacting approximately 6160 square yards of two inch asphalt overlay, construction of a turnout at the entrance (including all fill and culvert), striping and traffic control. All equipment, materials, testing, traffic control and placement procedures shall meet the requirements of Maryland State DOT Standards. Estimated price range between $25,000 and $100,000.This solicitation is open to large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submita quotation.
