The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract for a New Vertical Lift Gate Project located at Gate Bay 7 of the Main Channel Dam at Emsworth Locks and Dams on the Ohio River, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The work consists of demolition, removal and disposal of the existing lift gate; removal, wrapping and storage or transportation of lift gate wheel assemblies, existing roller chain type operating machinery and other miscellaneous items; and furnishing and installing a new vertical lift gate, hydraulic cylinder type operating machinery, electrical power and control systems and other appurtenant items. The period of performance will be 420 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy format.
