As we expand our range modernization program and increase our GPS timing capabilities, we intend to award a sole source contract to TRAK Microwave, 4726 Eisenhower Blvd., Tampa, FL 33634 and a sole source contract to DATACHRON, 1150 East Sanford Court, Anaheim, CA 92805. The contract with TRAK is for an estimated 260 chassis with assorted quantities of modular time code plug-ins over the next five years. The contract with DATACHRON is for an estimated 166 timing distribution amplifiers; an estimated 70 camera timing amplifiers and assorted quantities of plug-in cards over the next five years. We currently have over 200 TRAK chassis and 100+ DATACHRON timing amplifiers established throughout the ranges at White Sands Missile Range that represents over a $2.5M investment. For successful integration of all equipment, we must ensure that chassis, firmware, interfaces and modules are interchangeable. To accept the equipment of other vendors would not ensure the required compatibility.
