a market survey to identify sources of a Low Pressure Air Compressor
(LPAC) meeting our requirements. The compressor discharge pressure
shall be 125psig. The capacity range shall be anywhere between 100 scfm
and 1500 scfm. The compressor air end shall be rotary and oil-free. The
LPAC should be a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) item or other
non-developmental item. The intent is to modify the COTS unit to meet
standard Navy requirements (shock, vibration, piping, etc). The intent
of this announcement is to identify possible sources for procurement
of future LPACs. U.S. and foreign firms interested in being considered
for future procurements should submit, in writing, a description of
their product which fulfills the above requirements. The Government
will not pay for any material provided or monies spend in response to
this synopsis nor return the data provided. This announcement is a
request for information only and is not a request for proposal (RFP) or
announcement of solicitation. Responses are required within fourteen
days after publication of this notice. All responsive companies will be
contacted and shall be requested to meet with Navy personnel to
exchange information. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
