65 -- TELEMETRY SYSTEM SOL 558-52-00 DUE 053100 POC Berma Norris 919/286-6915 This is a Notice of Intent to negotiate sole source with Data Sciences International, 4211 Lexington Avenue, Suite 2244, St. Paul, MN 55126-6164 to supply a Telemetry System (mouse blood pressure transmitters) for research animals, for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705. This system is capable of monitoring blood pressure (waveform and systolic, diastolic, mean values), heart rate, and activity in 5 mice. Also included are 5 of the ETA-F20 transmitters which will allow you to collect ECG, heart rate, temperature, and activity in 5 separate mice. The telemetry system also allows collection of data from conscious, freely moving, unrestrained animals which will in turn give more physiologically accurate data.
