The Naval Air Systems intends to award sole source contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company for discretionary common and peculiar post production support for all Foreign Military Sales which includes but not limited to Canada, Australia, Kuwait, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, Malaysia and Thailand. The following services to be provided are as follows: analysis, plans, data research and studies, trade studies, development of rough order of magnitude (ROM), estimates and resulting bid, proposal charges and material. As sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and supplier of the F/A-18 weapon system, MDC is the only firm possessing the technical knowledge, expertise and familiarity with the aircraft's design and operation required to successfully provide the integration and testing of the aircraft.
