MODIFICATION TO THE SOLICITATION NOTICE PRINTED IN THE CBD ON 4/10/00
FOR A-E SERVICES UNDER THE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FOR THE NATIONAL
NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH CENTER (NNRC) AT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF
HEALTH (NIH), BETHESDA, MARYLAND. This announcement is provided to
clarify the following major points in the original announcement: In the
first stage, a short-list minimum of three (3) up to a maximum of four
(4) "A-E Design Teams" will be selected to participate in Stage Two.
The Stage One qualifications are to be submitted for criteria (1) PAST
PERFORMANCE ON DESIGN. A total of five (5) projects are to be
submitted, no more will be accepted nor evaluated. Of the five (5)
projects, two (2) can be of any building type. Of those same five (5)
projects, one (1) project must include a vivarium as part of a larger
research facility. Of the five (5) projects submitted, ALL must have
had their designs completed within the last ten (10) years. Actual
completion of the construction is not a requirement. The StageTwo
competition submittals and the entire project team will be evaluated by
the Development Manager and the Government (NIH). Part of the
evaluation process will require an interview with the 3 or 4
short-listed "A-E Design Teams." The NIH web site for the NIH Design
