This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. This solicitation is set aside 100%for small business. The SIC code 3446 applies. Description: Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, and materials necessary to remove and dispose of (off base) existing chain link fence posts and all gates. Contractor shall install new 8 ft high, 9 gauge core, fused, bonded, brown vinyl, chain link fence. All posts shall be vinyl brown color coated, set in concrete, 2 1/2" Sch.-40 line posts, 3" Sch.-40 terminal posts, 1 5/8" SS-15 top rails, brace and trussed,bottom coil wire. All posts shall be through dirt and set in concrete. Contractor shall install new 8' high gates (two 12' swing gates per field and two 48" personnel gates per field) at locations specified by the requester. The contractor shall install approximately 40 linear feet of 7' high chain link fence in front of dugouts (4 total); approximately 1020 linear feet of 1 5/8" diameter bottom rail onto the existing 10' high chain link fence at the outfield; make repairs to the outfield fence as necessary to eliminate gaps/holes and install ties onto the existing backstops to secure the fence to all mid-level and bottom rails. A site visit is scheduled for 0900 hours, 1 May 2000, to verify all measurements, materials, and locations of gates. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial.
