P -- WORLDWIDE WATERBORNE HULL CLEANING AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES SOL N00024-00-R-4091 POC Contact, Tara Smith, Contract Specialist, (703)602-8116 ext. 416, The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to electronically release the referenced solicitation, to procure waterborne hull cleaning, hull inspections, and other related ship husbandry services on the underwater portion of U. S. Navy, U. S. Coast Guard, U. S. Army, and Military Sealift Command ships and crafts. Services must be performed in accordance with Naval Ships Technical Manual Chapter 081, using diver operated/controlled equipment, and the Underwater Ship Husbandry Manual. It is anticipated that contract(s) will be awarded for Zone A (defined as all of the North and South Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, coastal Europe, Mediterranean and Red Seas, and Arabian Gulf), Zone B (defined as all of the North and South Pacific, and Indian Ocean), or for Zones A and B combined. The anticipated contract type is Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Quantity. The formal RFP will be electronically released on the NAVSEA Contracts Directorate home page (http://www.contracts.hq.navsea.navy.mil/home) on or about 12 May 2000. No solicitations will be mailed. A limited number of hard copies will be made available on a first come first served basis in the NAVSEA Industry Liaison Office.
