37 -- HARDWARE SUPERSTORE SPECIAL NOTICE -- CONSOLIDATION OF EXISTING SCHEDULES. Effective April 26, 2000 Solicitation 6FES-E6-970173-R2 is issued to replace existing Schedule Solicitaitons from the FSS, Hardware and Appliances Center. This solicitation will consolidate schedules from FSC GROUP(S) 32, 34, 35, 37, 41, 51,52, 73, 80, and 91, into one multiple award schedule/solicitation, titled "HardwareSuperstore", and will replace standing solicitations for, (1) 37 II A, Lawn and Garden Equipment and Cattle Guards, (2) 41 I B, Household and Office Appliances, (3) 51 I B, Tools, Tool Sets and Tool Kits, Industrial Quality Hand Precision Measuring tools,Electric tools, Pneumatic Tools, Woodworking and Metal Working Machinery & Equipment and Accessory Items, (4) 51 V, the Hardware Store, (5) 80 III A, Paints,Adhesives, Removers and other Coatings. And, the new scheudle introduces 2 new service business lines, Preparation and Application of Chemical Compounds (Worldwide), PACC(WORLD), and the Beautification Center (see clause CP-FSS-2 SIGNIFICANT CHANGES, in the new solicitation, for further clairification on PACC(WORLD) and the Beautification Center. *******This consolidation will provide improvements for customers by minimizing the number of schedules they will need to research, and will also be a cost-saving measure for contractors by intially reducing the number of different price lists they have to print and distribute, as well as the number of schedules that GSA will need to print. The revised schedule/solicitation incorporates a revised list of Special Item Numbers (SIN's) that cover all classes within Federal Supply Group listed above. For a list of the specific schedules being merged, please refer to the Significant Changes clause on the cover page of the new solicitation.
