This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ-0005-0 is issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. Quantity: Three (3) trash compactors. The hopper capacity is 2.67 cubic yards, the container capacity is 35 cubic yards with a clear top feed opening, 68" W x 40" L, twin cylinder (2) 4" x 32" stroke, packing force 42,000 pounds / 52,853 pounds, motor: 10 HP/480 volt /3 HP/60HZ, hopper extension: Steel enclosure 42" H x 60" W. NOTE: All three compactors will be set-up the same so they can be interchanged. The container guide tracks two (2) pair will be standard container guide tracks, flared on one end with wheel stop at the other end, paintedsafety yellow. One (1) pair will be installed behind Food Service at the Federal Prison Camp, Victorville, California and the other pair will be installed behind Food Service at the Federal Correctional Institution, Victorville, California. The locking package will include steel doors over the face of the control panel with heavy duty padlock hasps on all doors and removal covers. Contractor will provide delivery and installation.
