Principle features of the work include: (1) Earthwork and construction of about 4.4 miles of unlined channel, 1.1 miles of pond dike and 0.8 mile of pond bypass channel, topsoil and seeding for approximately 132 acres; (2) furnishing and installing precast reinforced concrete twin cell box culvert control structure (each cell 5' wide x 6' high); (3) furnishing and installing 24-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe at two sites; (4) demolishing and removing an existing concrete control structure; (5) furnishing and installing erosion control mat; (6) gravel surfacing for the top of the bypass channel O&M road; (7) furnishing and placing riprap and filter fabric; (8) furnishing and installing metal grating and wooden stoplogs. The estimated price range of the work is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The work is located approximately 20 miles north of Jamestown, North Dakota in Stutsman County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available 05/30/00. Requests should be received on or before 06/15/00. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 06/29/00, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Dakota Area Office, 304 East Broadway Avenue, Bismarck, North Dakota. The contract is to be completed within approximately 820 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, 316 N 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
