Administrative Services, 541/750-7118 The intent of this project is to
provide equipment and personnel to decommission approximately 4.12
miles of road by constructing waterbars for drainage, constructing
earth barricades to block vehicular traffic at approaches to designated
roads, removing side-case and slide material, realligning roads for
access, removing fill and culverts at designated locations, placing
waste material in designated areas, and brushing and waterbarring of
access roads. Construction/reconstruction of waterbars and drain dips
will require a crawler tractor with a six-way tilt blade. Removal of
fill and culverts will require an excavator (minimum size 325
Caterpillar or equivalent) and end haul trucks able to use access road
with 10%-18% grade. The work will be on graveled and ungraveled
logging roads. Project is located on the Waldport Ranger District,
Siuslaw National Forest, Lincoln County, Oregon. The Contractor shall
furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies
(except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to
accomplish all work necessary. The Government estimate is between
$25,000 and $100,000. The successful offeror shall be required to
submit a Payment Bond prior to start of work. Estimated start work date
is July 5, 2000, contract time is 107 calendar days. This solicitation
