The Black River Pumping Station is located approximately 12 miles north of Point of Pines, Arizona and approximately 85 miles northeast of Globe, Arizona. Phase I: Consists of removing approximately 90 lineal feet of asbestos wrapping and underlying bituminous material coating the external surface of the existing 26-inch diameter steel discharge line from the Black River Pumping Station. The Contractor shall prepare the surface of the pipie to a "white metal" condition. Upon completion of Phase I, the Government will inspect the pipe and perform testing to determine it's condition. Satisfactory results of the inspection and testing will initiate Phase II of the work. If inspection and testing determines the pipe is in unsatisfactory condition, this contract will terminate. Phase II: Work consists of the Contractor performing weld repairs were required and applying a new coating tothe pipe. Weld repairs will be performed utilizing Government furnished patch materials..
