The US Army Materiel Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Aerazur, Division Equipments Aeronautics of Issy Les Moulineaux, France, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) and (b)(1)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Aerazur has proprietary rights to the snaphooks that passed all tests and received a safety release from the US Army Developmental Test Command. The government intends to establish a one-year IDIQ contract with two option years. The contract quantities will be a minimum of 10,000 and a maximum of 100,000 snap hooks for the first year. Aerazur's snaphook Part Number is 300587-0 for AP 68 static line snaps. Aerazur is being requested to modify the bottom of the snap hook to optimize the shape for the girth hitch connection.
