psilvo@hoffman-issaa2.army.mil. The DALIMS Request for Proposal (RFP)
will be released on or about 02 June 2000. DALIMS requirement consists
of hardware, software, site surveys, system integration, and facility
preparation, installation, testing, training, data deliverables, and
technical, sustainability, and management support of the DALIMS sites.
The DALIMS requirement period of performance is from the date of the
award through 31 December 2003. A Justification and Approval (J&A)
is being sought for the following brand name items: DEC, HP, SUN and
NT server operating systems and related COTS applications software (See
CBD notice -- Appendix A dated 01 May 2000 for DALIMS, on web site
http://abop.monmouth.army.mil), DEC, HP, SUN High-end and Mid-range
servers, and NT low-end servers, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 as only
the specified makes and models of technical equipment and parts will
satisfy the program needs. In preparation for the release of the DALIMS
RFP, the Government is seeking comments from industry regarding the
brand name requirement items. Comments are due not later than 15 May
2000, and should be submitted to the Contracting Officer,
CECOM-Washington address. Included as part of the requirement is a
global certification of technical compliance by prospective
contractors. The Government intends to solicit proposals on a full and
open competitive basis to award an estimated 39-month (1 base year and
3 option periods) firm fixed-price, ID/IQ contract. Award will be based
on a best value, trade-off process approach. The RFP will be made
available on the Department of Army's CECOM Business Opportunity Page,
web site http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. The RFP submittal date will be
