equipment, appliances and materials to install a GOVERNMENT Furnished
150 KW Emergency Generator (genset), Remote Enunciator, and Fuel
Storage Day Tank that will be used to provide continued backup power to
the National Firearms Unit (NFU). The contractor shall provide and
install an Automatic Transfer Switch w/Bypass (ATS) with full load
exerciser, sized accordingly and connected up to building sub-station
and genset. The work shall include installation of a 150 KW genset with
weather protective enclosure, remote enunciator, an automatic transfer
switch (ATS), full load exerciser clock, remote hour meter, fuel
piping, electrical conduit and wiring, new concrete slabs, and fuel
storage day tank, and writing the genset to substation seondary output,
and the existing main distribution panelboard with the ATS. The cast in
place concrete pads for the genset and daytank shall be formed and
poured according to manufacturer's recommendations. The contractor
shall perform preventativemaintenance on genset prior to start up which
will include flushing out all fuel lines, changing oil, and replacing
fuel and oil filters. The contractor shall run a full load test of the
genset for satisfactory operation. The contractor shall provide and
install and Automatic Transfer Switch w/BYpass located near the genset
as per drawings. The contractor shall provide and install a full load
exerciser clock near the remote enunciator, wired to carry full load
of facility when in the test position. All work required for the
installation of the generator and appurtenances and the interface with
the existing site distribution system will be coordinated with the
National Firearms Unit Agent-in-Charge through the Contracting Officer.
All work shall be in strict accordance with the specifications and with
local codes and regulations. The contractor shall employ the services
of an manufacturer representative to conduct all start up and load
test. The contractor shall top off fuel tanks with diesel fuel prior to
