Renovation work significant components include: updating the mechanical and electrical systems which will require replacement of all ceilings and lighting; application of new wall and floor finishes throughout, installation of new exterior doors and windows; new storage cabinets with counters and sinks in classrooms; storage units; and ADA compliant "unisex" toilet; study room for homework and reading; and a computer room with connection to the Internet. The new addition includes: a multi-purpose room w/storage space and sports office; a multi-function commons which will serve as a dining area; small kitchen and snack bar; director's office and reception desk; ADA compliant toilets; expanded mechanical equipment room. Exterior design features include: an entry tower/portico reminiscent of the traditional bell tower with steel columns; steel column and CMU exterior walls with brick veneer; standing seam metal roof with metal decking. A separate line item will include additional standing seam metal roofing. Asbestos abatement will be required. Exterior improvements include: lighted basketball court, playground with owner furnished play equipment; patio; enclosed mechanical equipment yard; and expanded parking. Estimated cost range of this project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Network Analysis System will be required.
