Z -- PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR SECURITY PROJECTS IN VARIOUS STATES -- WESTERN AREA SOL 072976-00-A-0105 DUE 053100 POC Tom Carriere 303.220.6538, Solicitation Information; or Jae Pak 303.220.6541, Project Manager The U.S Postal Service, Denver Facilities Service Office, is soliciting written expressions of interest from contractors desiring to be placed on a prequalified list(s) for installation of new and/or upgrade of existing security systems at various postal facilities in the Western Area states of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. The estimated construction cost ranges are $200,000 to $1,200,000. Offerors may apply for one or more projects. Projects will vary in their requirements, but in general, they will consist of exterior perimeter security fencing, security lighting, CCTV system, electronic access control system, security devices for building components (security grilles, door hardware, doors and door frames, and security glazing) intrusion detection system, and electronic criminal investigative system. A Postal Service technical evaluation committee will evaluate pre-qualification statements. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: (1) Minimum of five (5) years experience as a security systems installer; (2) References from similar type projects; (3) Successful completion of projects of similar size and scope; (4) A valid contractors license or demonstrate the ability to obtain such license in the state desiring to be pre-qualified; (5) Proof of adequate financial stability and bonding capacity; (6) Current workload and capacity in relation of the company resources; (7) Approved Vicon Industries, Inc. installer or provide information on a subcontractor who is an approved installer. Firms selected as most highly qualified will be placed on the pre-qualification list for up to twelve (12) months. Firms may not necessarily be pre-qualified for all projects listed. Only the BEST QUALIFIED firms will be selected (this is not a "pass" or "fail" process) for the scope of each planned location. Applicants are cautioned to apply for only those projects that they seriously desire to work on.
