Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, transportation and supervision necessary for Roofing and Repairs at Lynde Point Housing, Old Saybrook, CT (Middlesex County). The project consists of a base line item and an optional line item. The Base Line Item includes the following work: (a) Remove existing asphalt shingles, including flashing at chimney. (b) Remove existing gutters and downspouts. (c) New heavyweight asphalt shingles, underlayment, self-adhering eaves protection membrane, deck repairs, and copper chimney and pipe flashing. (d) New aluminum "K" style gutters, and rectangular downspouts. (e) Replace existing wood fascias with new wood fascias (existing fascias are coated with lead-containing paint). (f) Protect existing items to remain, such as light fixtures, doors, windows, and exterior walls. (g) Paint new fascias/trim. (h) Disconnect and reconnect electrical service as required to perform the work. The Option Line Item includes the following work: Rebuild two (2) existing awnings, including replacing all wood framing, decking, and trim with new wood framing, decking, and trim, remove lead paint from existing metal support angles, new asphalt shingle roofing and underlayment, new copper flashing, and painting new and existing awning components. The period of performance is 45 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed for the base line item work. Should the Government exercise the option, the successful contractor will have 30 additional days to complete the option line item work. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
