The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: The work includes replacing six 7'-11" by 14'-8" fixed/pivot sash wood windows on the west elevation; eight 5'-9" by 8'-0" double hung wood windows on the east elevation, two 4'-0" diameter circular fixed wood windows on the north elevation of the main Minidoka powerplant; three 7'-3" by 10' 3-1/8" fixed/pivotal wood windows and three 5'-2" by 7'-3" fixed/pivotal wood windows on Unit No. 7 on the west elevation. The Powerplant at Minidoka Dam is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The contract shall replace the windows consistent with the historic design, materials, and character of the structure and avoid damage to the structure in accordance with the State Historic Preservation Office and the Contracting Officer. The work is situated at Minidoka Dam, approximately 12 miles east of Rupert, Idaho, in Minidoka County. Estimated price range of the work is between $100,000 and $250,000 -- copies of solicitation will be provided in CD-ROM format at no charge for the first copy and $15.00 each (nonrefundable) for each additional copy requested.
