This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Synopsis/Solicitation F30602-00-Q-0231 is being issued as a Request for Quote, incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. Additional information may be obtained at the Electronic Posting System (EPS). The proposed contract action is for 1 each, Millennia IR, completely air-cooled high power, Diode Pumped Solid State laser producing greater than 10 watts of CW power at 1064 nanometers. Single Mode. (TEMoo Beam of M squared less than 1.1). Optical noise less than 1%. Complete compact system including FCBar power supply and remote control. Operates on 110/220 Volts AC with less than 20 Amps, single phase power. Requirements are for delivery FOB Destination to the Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome NY by 15 Jun 00.
