U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center currently has a
requirement to procure a Series 533 Data Acquisition Control System to
upgrade the current system installed on the Coast Guard Dynamometer.
The original equipment manufacturer is Kahn Industries. It is the
Government's belief that only Kahn Industries, and/or their authorized
dealers/distributors, can supply the Modification Kit to upgrade the
Control Console from a Series 516 to a Series 533 while maintaining
compatibility with existing equipment. The Government intends to
solicit only Kahn Industries and/or their authorized
dealers/distributors. However, interested sources may submit
information identifying their capabilities in supplying the upgrade
kit. This information must include (1) current technical information,
consisting of descriptive literature, etc., to verify that the
modification kit offered meets the requirements of the Modification Kit
requested; and (2) information verifying the offered modification kit
has been supplied to the Government and/or the Original Equipment
Manufacturer. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED IN THIS OFFICE NO LATER
THAN 17 MAY 2000. INFORMATION RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE SHALL NOT BE
CONSIDERED. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 5.207(e)(3) and TAM
