coniporient parts shall not be used or sub-standard in any way. 3.1 The
rectifiers shall be air-cooled. The rectifiers shall have the
capability of operating at flill current output with the ambient
temperature range of 0 to 50 0C. 3.2 The rectifier shall be consiructed
with the following operational characteristics: a. Input power shall be
110 volts, single phase, AC + 10%. b. Output shall be in DC volts with
no more than 5% ripple over the operating range. c. The rectifier
shall be provided with constant current and constant voltage control
within 0.1% of full-scale voltage or current. d. The rectifier shall
operate at full load current and full load voltage. Also the rectifier
shall operate at full load current and 1% of full voltage. e. The
rectifiers shall be chemical resistant and appropriate for use in a
plating shop environment. f. Diodes, transistors, transformers, and
other components, shall be designed and tested for indefinite operation
of the rectifier at full load. 3.3 The rectifier control system shall
be provide with the following: a. All controls shall be solid state
design. b. Digital voltage and current meters shall be provided. c.
Over-temperature and overload cut out switches shall be integrated into
the rectifier control circuit. 3.4 All portable rectifiers shall weigh
