General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Technology Service (FTS), Office of Information Security (OIS) intends to procure specific makes and models of general purpose information technology equipment racks. This announcement constitutes the only notice of this intended make-model specific buy. On closure of this announcement, 15 days, one purchase order is anticipated to Ergotron, Inc. a small business under SIC 3577, Computer Perhpheral Equipment, as suppliers for the items via their Hawaii representative, World Tech Environments, Inc., of Honolulu, Hawaii as an in-care-of order. This is notice number GSA-TIM-2000-058. As such a written solicitation will not be issued. This Phase II requirement is for items with specifications to facilitate standardization at the command. The items are 84-inch ADPE Base Unit Assemblages consisting of cabinets constructed to house specific items. Being a follow-on requirement to facilitate standardization these cabinet-systems consist of cold rolled steel with frames of single piece welded construction, 16-gauge steel, having Plexiglas doors mounted with welded on hinges, with rear doors of 18-gauge steel with weld on hinges and with perforations for airflow. Side panels are 18-gauge steel, solid-sheet with perforation for airflow. Tops are 16-gauge steel as are bottoms. Being an assemblage all are for installation in-place at the destination by the local Ergotron representatives. Mounting rails are 13 gauge zinc plated and shelves are 18 gauge steel. All parts carry a lifetime warranty on workmanship and materials, serviced in Hawaii, by Ergotron_s representative for the following items, including installation and freight on a pre-pay and add basis to the destination. Local and ongoing support capability in Hawaii is a requirement of this order. Facilitation of this requirement is contingent on being able to use cabling and equipment to be installed into the racks as well knowledge of on-site requirements already in place and which equipment and cables are providedat the site as Government Furnished Property. The make-model items, in quantity 15 each are by unique part number 8401B-36 being 84-inch high by 29-inch wide x 36-inch deep, base unit. Base unit has vented top, black trim, Compaq Universal features. There are 15-each part number 8402 Plexiglas Front Doors, 8404 Steel upper half vented rears, 8410-36 solid side panels, 7217 power strip, and 93-cm-04 inter-bay cable organizers for 19 inch rack mount rails of the 4-ring type. Forty-one each of part number 7232-36hd in 24-inch x 30 and 5-8ths inch shelves are required. Two each of a 45-016-009 FP ARMS, horizontal mount, surface, triple pivot, 75 mm and 60-202-01 slat wall interface bracket, universal for woodtronics, eurocraft, evans, SBF1, Knoll, Precision, for arms and pivots are required. The system color is black. Delivery is required within 30-days of award to dovetail with project requirements. This notice and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. No solicitation will be issued. FOB Destination on a pre-pay and add applies to any resulting order, with freight considered and estimated as a not to exceed maximum with the order. Awarded contractor shall provide on-site upgrade assistance upon request by the customer from local resources with Ergotron experience.
