Request for Information Only (RFI). This does not constitute a Request
for Proposal (RFP), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the
Government. We are only requesting information and ideas. A formal
request for proposals will be issued at a later date. This announcement
constitutes a sources sought notice and market research. Information
obtained as a result of this synopsis is for procurement planning
purposes ONLY. The U.S. Army Medical Command, MEDCOM Contracting Center
is currently seeking written ideas that will assist us in preparing a
Statement of Work and pricing schedule for maintenance of various
medical equipment. Locations initially include approximately seventeen
(17) Military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) located in Tricare
Region 6 and potentially expanding to include Tricare Regions 7 and 8
(approximately 41 total MTFs). The equipment includes, but is not
limited to, the following: (1) General Imaging Equipment: i.e.
Mammography, Radiography and Fluroscopy X-Ray Equipment,Bone Density
Systems, Electrophysiological Fluoroscope, Gamma Cameras, Nuclear
Medicine Computers, Scanners, etc.; (2) Advanced Imaging Equipment:
i.e. Angiography, Catherization, CT Scanners, Linear Accelerator, MRI
Scanners, Etc.; (3) Archiving Systems: i.e. ALT, AEGIS, MEDIS, MUSE and
QS; (4) Laboratory Equipment: i.e. Auto Analyzers, Automicrobic System,
Blood Analyzers, Cath Laboratory System, Etc.; and (5) Other Equipment:
i.e. Air Samplers, Anesthesia Apparatus, Anesthesia Vaporizer,
Biological Safety Cabinets, Cardiac Assist Pumps, Etc. The hourly time
frames are as follows: Normal Hours (8:00 am 5:00 pm); (2) Overtime
Hours (5:01 pm 7:59 am) (3) Weekend Holidays (8:00 am 5:00 pm); (4)
Weekend Holidays (5:01 pm 7:59 am). Scope of Work: The Contractor shall
provide on-call maintenance to include preventive maintenance (PMI's)
Calibrations, Upgrades, and remedial maintenance, for the types of
equipment listed above. Service shall include all travel, labor,
materials (excluding disposable, consumable supply items),
manufacturer's authorized field modifications instructions (FMI's)
including tools, test equipment, service literature and diagnostic
software required to service and maintain the equipment described. The
Contractor shall provide equipment modifications, normally furnished
by the manufacturer, this includes filed modifications, safety
corrections, all software updates, and revisions designed to correct
software deficiencies. The Contractor must be able to respond on-site
within (8) duty hours after receipt of call for service. Requests for
Preventive Maintenance will be handled in the same manner as calls for
remedial maintenance. Replacement Repair Parts: The Contractor will be
reimbursed for all parts at the Manufacturer's published Price list
less the discount indicated in the Schedule. If no published price list
exists, the Contractor will be reimbursed at the most favorable prices
offered other customers. The Government is looking for ideas for
pricing the various locations and types of equipment on a "per-call"
basis with parts as a separate line item. Potential offerors may submit
