This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F65501-00-Q0048 and it is a request for quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. The Standard Industry Code (SIC) is 7513. This solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. Scope of Work: This statement of work covers the minimum requirements for a service contract to provide rental of four (4) 3 passenger 12 ton pick-up trucks with a 8 foot bed, one (1) 3 passenger 1 ton pick-up truck with a 8 foot bed, and two (2) 6 passenger 1 ton, four wheel drive, crew cab, diesel engine pick-up trucks with 8 foot beds at Elmendorf AFB. Rental period shall be from 16 May 00 through 30 Sep 00. Location of the contractor must be in the general geographic area of Elmendorf AFB. (Note: Only companies with a local office within a 20 mile radius of Elmendorf AFB will be considered.) The government will pick-up the vehicles at the start of the lease and return the vehicles at the end of the lease. Contractor to notify using organization seven days prior to end of lease. All daily maintenance, such as maintaining fluid level, for proper operations and daily lubrication shall be the responsibility of the user. All routine maintenance (lube, oil, and filter every 3,000 miles) shall be the using shops responsibility. Repairs will be made under manufacturer_s warranty. FOB Origin is required.
